Buckle up and strap yourselves in for the ultimate V8 race car driving experience at the Queensland Raceway in Greater Brisbane. Get behind the wheel of champion V8 race cars for eight exhilarating laps before switching places with the professional driver for an additional three laps as a passenger to experience the true potential of the powerful V8 engines.

Your V8 race day begins with pre-drive tuition to ensure you are comfortable with the car and the unique race track circuit. From here, it’s time to look the part with a professional racing suit and helmet provided. Now, it’s time to choose – Holden or Ford. Once drivers are safely strapped in, it’s time for a heart pounding drive out of pit lane and onto the race track. For an extra dose of adrenaline, this combo includes three passenger laps with a professional driver that are sure to leave you in awe of the extreme force of the V8 race car.

Time
  • Race days are held throughout the year on specified dates
  • Sessions available every half hour from 7am to 11.30am
Duration
  • Please allow 2-3 hours for this experience, including the briefing and driving.
Location
  • This experience takes place at Queensland Raceway at 133 Champions Way, Willowbank, QLD 4306.
What To Bring
  • Wear comfortable clothing as the race suit will need to go over any clothing you choose to wear. Fully enclosed, flat-soled shoes, long sleeves and long pants are required (normal runners are fine).
Terms And Conditions
  • Participants must be at least 18 years and hold your Learner's Licence with a minimum 50 hours log booked
  • Participants need to be within the maximum height of 194cm and minimum height of 135cm with maximum weight below 120kg
  • Participants who arrive on the day of their experience and do not adhere to these guidelines will forfeit their experience
  • Both Holden and Ford cars are available
  • You will be required to sign an indemnity form prior to participating in the experience
  • All minors must be accompanied by a parent and/or legal guardian on the day
  • A current photo ID for both the passenger (student ID) and parent will need to be shown along with proof of guardianship, ie Medicare card
  • If you normally wear spectacles, it is essential that they are soft frames and face fitting to ensure that they fit inside the helmet. Contact lenses are not a preferred option as they often become dislodged
Cancellation Policy
  • Rebookings to be completed within 12months of original booking
  • No rebooking within 14 days of the event
  • Changes more then 14 days but less then 30 days
  • For any re-bookings more than 30 days prior to a scheduled event date, there shall be no penalty applicable. For any re-bookings 30 - 14 days prior to a scheduled event date, a re-booking fee of $50 shall be applicable. For all bookings made directly with Queensland Raceway, this shall be processed by way of placing the appropriate credit on the customer's Queensland Raceways Account to enable the customer to re-book at a later time.
  • Refunds are not offered on Any V8 Race Experience purchases. If a customer is no longer able to attend their booking, they are permitted to nominate an alternative participant.
  • If the experience is cancelled by Queensland Raceway, all bookings are to be rescheduled to a new date.

  • Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
  • Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
  • Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction
